Energy4Green

NOTE: Energy4Green has changed the name to Energy2Green. Thay have also added a new DVD Video.

Energy4Green is a relative newcomer to the scene and therefore not as popular, but it's climbing fast. We found that it goes into a lot more detail than some of the other books. However, a lot of this detail might be considered trivial.

Some of these details include complete background information on solar and wind power (who cares?), how to contact the power company to ensure you get paid for the excess power you generate (that's not likely to happen), and legal information regarding your solar panels or wind generator. Since different states have different regulations, you will have to get this yourself, anyway.

That being said, the instructions, along with the graphics, leave little to the imagination. We found it to be well written and the detailed schematics, diagrams and step-by-step instructions were easy to follow. With the new added videos, it's even better than before.

What we didn't like: The bonuses are little more than what's included in other manuals, just packaged differently.

Conclusion: If you are good with tools and can follow instructions, Energy4Green is an excellent manual.

Feedback:

I have spent a few hundred dollars on 4 different DIY solar panel kits. I did find one that was real good ... The name is Energy For Green. I have also purchased a lot of solar books off of amazon but non were as good as this one.

I found the schematics and diagrams to be very clearly illustrated inside Energy4Green and the instructions are very easy to follow. Most importantly, I was able to get the systems working and I am very pleased with the whole Energy4Green system.

Earth4Energy

Earth4Energy is the most popular DIY book and as it turns out, with good reason.

Earth4Energy promises to show you how to build your own solar panel or wind generator for under $200 and does exactly that. But we found the best part to be the instructional videos. Everything is easier when you actually see someone do it
