DIY Power System is the ultimate in energy info products. Want to build solar panels? Got it. Wind generator? That, too. Your own batteries? Yep. Biodesiel? They have that covered. Want to build your own house? YOUR OWN HOUSE?

If you are into quanity over quality, DIY Power System is for you. It costs more than the others, but makes up for it with vast amounts of info. Sorry, I got carried away.

Let me say that this is actually a very good product. Like the other DIY energy manuals, it shows you everything you need to know to build your own solar panels and wind generators ... and then some.

What we didn't like: The price. $97? Come on. If you are planning to build your own house, then it's definately worth it. But I don't see that happening in my household anytime soon. How about you?

Also, the price appears nowhere on the sales page. I never understood the reasoning behind that strategy, but you have to actually click the payment link to find out how much it costs. Maybe that makes it easier for them to change the price on short notice.

Conclusion: Like I said, if you are planning to build your own house, this is the manual for you. If not, you are better off with one of the others.

I found dozens of reviews, but interestingly. they all said just about the same thing. Coincidence? They all seem to claim that this is the greatest invention since sliced bread.

But on the other hand, I couldn't find any negative comments, either, so read into that what you want.

Earth4Energy is the most popular DIY book and as it turns out, with good reason.

Earth4Energy promises to show you how to build your own solar panel or wind generator for under $200 and does exactly that. But we found the best part to be the instructional videos. Everything is easier when you actually see someone do it

Energy4Green is a relative newcomer to the scene and therefore not as popular, but it's climbing fast.

We found that it goes into a lot more detail than some of the other books. However, a lot of this detail might be considered trivial.
